How does conflict end and peace begin? What happens behind closed doors when peace agreements are negotiated?
Season 3 of The Mediator’s Studio podcast kicks off today as host Adam Cooper takes listeners behind the scenes with exceptional stories, context and insights from some of the most prominent voices in peacemaking.
The series is produced by The Oslo Forum – a headline event for the mediation community co-hosted by the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue.
In the first episode of the new season, veteran mediator and diplomat Lakhdar Brahimi talks about his early efforts in Afghanistan and the challenges of finding peace in Syria. Through personal reflections from a lifetime of work, he shares many lessons learned along the way.
After that, our guests include a former freedom fighter turned UN diplomat, a mediator with decades of experience across Africa and a Yemeni peace activist and frontline humanitarian.
