Contribute to HD’s programme in Northeast Asia (NEA), by conducting an assessment to explore potential activities in and with Japan.
Key responsibilities include:
- To Conduct a thorough analysis that outlines potential opportunities and scoping activities in and with Japan;
- To identify and consult key actors (policy makers, technical experts, institutions, etc.) and to build contact with relevant stakeholders for potential collaboration in close cooperation with the project staff;
- To provide inputs and advice in designing activities in and with Japan in line with NEA’s programme;
The ideal candidate should have professional knowledge and work experience in international relations or public policy processes. The candidate should have a great understanding of Japan with a global perspective, as well as, a good understanding of regional geopolitical issues. The candidate must be fluent in Japanese and English.
The position will report to the Deputy Regional Director and can be based anywhere.
