To reduce risks around military systems enabled with artificial intelligence (AI), the Centre for Humanitarian Dialogue convened a two-year consultation process among Chinese, U.S. and international experts that resulted in a draft Code of Conduct.
Security-conscious experts agreed that considering restrictions such as those outlined in the Code of Conduct on Artificial Intelligence in Military Systems could make these systems safer and decrease the likelihood of accidental or intentional use in conflict or conflict escalation.
