  • Before joining HD, worked for International Crisis Group, swisspeace, the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe, and the UN Mission in Sudan. Has been based in Sudan and Ukraine.
  • Widely published on issues related to collective security and mediation, including process design, competition among mediators, the role of sanctions, and power-sharing.
  • Masters’ degrees from the Geneva Graduate Institute and from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University. Doctorate from the University of Basel.
