  • Joined HD in 2023. Manages the mediation guidance and training portfolio and works as thematic lead for ceasefires and security arrangements within MESU, supporting HD teams and global partners in the design and implementation of ceasefires.
  • Supported peace initiatives in Ukraine, Lebanon, Sudan, Yemen, Ethiopia, Nigeria, and Myanmar.
  • Widely published on mediation and ceasefires, including the book “Ceasefires: Stopping the Violence and Negotiating Peace”. His research was featured in media outlets such as Washington Post, New York Times, and The Economist.
  • PhD from the University of Kent, senior academic roles at the ETH Zurich, and Honorary Professor at the University of Kent and Chair of the Conflict Research Society.
