(Fixed-Term, Part-time, internship contract)

HD’s work in Asia-Pacific (APAC) spans eleven different time zones, and it is the organisation’s most diverse portfolio. With its regional headquarters in Singapore and field offices around the region, HD conducts discreet activities designed to prevent, mitigate and resolve armed conflicts. The intern will support HD’s programmes in the region, with a specific focus on HD’s South Asia engagements, while also supporting fundraising activities in the region.

Reporting to the Project Lead for South Asia, the intern will have the following responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of communications products and impact stories that showcase the success of projects in Asia-Pacific.
  • Assist in implementing project activities for HD’s engagements in South Asia.
  • Support the operations of the HD Asia Peace Fund, covering HD’s ongoing fundraising campaign and related events.

Daily activities include:

  • Help organise events and meetings in Asia, including managing logistics, issuing and tracking invitations, and preparing materials.
  • Conduct media monitoring and draft notes and public communication posts on key topics of relevance to the team.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for the Asia-Pacific program, including attending meetings, taking notes, and assisting with various operational tasks.

The successful candidate should have the following qualifications:

  • Open to graduates or postgraduates from all disciplines (preferably in public relations, marketing and communications etc.) who are currently completing/ have completed their degrees.  
  • Good writing and analytical skills. 
  • Experience in developing communication products using Canva, Photoshop, video editing software etc. is an added advantage.
  • Fluency in written and oral English is essential.  

Candidates should be eligible to work in Singapore. The successful candidate is required to work from the office once a week. Some international travel may be required.
