This position is located within the HD’s Mediation Support and Policy directorate (MESU) and specifically its Gender-Responsive and Inclusive Peacemaking (GINC) team. It offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic team, supporting HD operations and helping implement gender-responsive and inclusive peacemaking approaches in line with HD’s Global Strategy 2024-27.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide operational support to HD teams, including through field deployments.
  • Provide technical advice on the design of gender-responsive and inclusive peace processes.
  • Deliver GINC training programs and workshops.
  • Facilitate meetings of HD’s GINC Community of Practice with the aim of promoting internal knowledge exchange and innovation.
  • Produce learning products, donor reports, and policy briefs.
  • Represent HD at external events, donor meetings, and policy forums.
  • Contribute to MESU-led mediation support engagements and internal events

You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • At least 4 and up to 7 years of experience in mediation support and peacebuilding, preferably with experience in a conflict-affected or post-conflict context and working on gender and inclusion issues.
  • Advanced university degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent English (C1 minimum); other languages are an asset (Arabic, French, Spanish).
  • Strong writing and analytical skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and communicate effectively across cultures.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusivity.
  • Capacity to work autonomously while collaborating closely within a team.
  • Adaptability and flexibility.
  • Curiosity and ability to learn fast.

The position is in Geneva; flexibility to work 80 to 100% to be discussed during the recruitment process. Candidates from any nationality can apply, as HD sponsors work permits.

This position requires travel.
