HD Peace Fund

Investing in Peace

Private Philanthropy for Peacemaking

Our world is in turmoil and far from peace. The number of violent conflicts has not been this large since the Second World War, costing the global economy trillions of dollars each year and causing human suffering beyond measure.

The return of war between states. Geopolitical polarisation. Digital disruption. Climate change. Conflict over scarce resources. Democracy in decline. Humanitarian crises with millions and millions of people hungry and displaced.

All of these realities fuel insecurity – now and in the future.

At HD, we know first-hand that conflict is difficult to resolve. Still, we work to make peace.

For 25 years, in the midst of violence, we have built a record of success and a wealth of experience in conflict mediation by investing in people who make a difference. In more than 80% of conflicts around the world, HD creates opportunities for peace where others cannot.

Today, private philanthropy plays an increasingly important role in enabling rapid, flexible and independent peacemaking.

HD is pleased to host a growing community of individuals and families who support our efforts through private philanthropy and engagement.

Through private briefings, curated discussions and invitation-only gatherings, supporters gain deeper insight into emerging geopolitical developments and the realities of contemporary conflict mediation.

Engagements
